Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Boumalne Dades

The 4 days Morocco sahara desert tours from Marrakech to Fes start with picking you up from your accommodation in Marrakech or from the airport. Then drive through the spellbinding high atlas mountains and crossing Tizi N Tichka. Stops will be included along the way to enjoy the panoramic views of the stunning landscapes.

Next, we will continue to visit kasbah of ait ben haddou. The famous fortified village recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. Furthermore, this kasbah has been featured in numerous films inluding Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy… etc. After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we will head to the gate of the desert “Ouarzazate”. Visite the Atlas studios where famous movies were filmed and the impressive Taourirt kasbah. Then continue to rose valley or like moroccan people like to call it “Kelaat Mgouna” where locals celebrate the rose festival each May. Showcasing their rose product such as perfums, rose water and rose oil that cost 17000$ per 1 litre

Day 2: Boumalne Dades - Tinghir - Merzouga

After breakfast, the second day will start by enjoying the stunning scenery of the dades gorges. Then we continue to Todra gorges where Todra river has carved out a magnificent canyon. Free time to enjoy your lunch and explore the gorges and wander the river.

After lunch, the tour heads toward Merzouga desert where you will switch to camels for an unforgettable trek across the vast sandy dunes. Along the way, a stop will be made for you to witness the sahara desert sunset. Offering a panoramic view of the desert beauty.

The camel ride will lead you to a luxury camp where you will have an overnight. Enjoy traditional Berber drum music and dance around the campfire under a sky full of stars. Dinner and overnight stay are included in order to immerse in the serene and enchanting atmosphere of the sahara.

Day 3: Khamlia - Erg Chebbi - Palm Grove

Witnessing the stunning sunrise is a must do in the heart of the desert for a truly magical experience. Enjoy your breakfast during the free time before returnning to Merzouga on camels where the driver is waiting you. It is the day where we will explore Merzouga region known for its divers landscapes including sand dunes, mines, fossil sites and lush oases. Perfect for a variety of outdoor activities.

The day start with an off-road drive to visit an ancient kohl (Eyeliner) mine and have fascinating glimps into the area’s history. Then visit a nomadic family in their handmade woven tent, where you will learn about their way of life while enjoying a cup of traditional Berber tea.

The journey continues to Khamlia village where you will enjoy Gnaoua music. The tradition brought by its inhabitants from sub-saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Before having lunch at a local restaurant.

After, we take a leisurely stroll through a palm grove before driving few kilometers to visit the lake of Merzouga as it’s known as flamingo lake. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga - Erfoud - Ifran - Fes

In the last day and after having breakfast. The tour continues as you leave the desert behind and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalt. Known as the major trading enter in the region. Rissani is famous for its lively souk which is bustling on tuesday, thursday and sunday. to be proceed to Erfoud where you will visit a workshop specielizing in fossilized marble.

Drive along the scenic Ziz river and stop to take in a panoramic view of the lush Ziz valley. The tour continues with a break for lunch in Midelt and head to the cedar forest, home of the Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them and enjoy walk among the forest.

Our next destination will be Ifran, the switzerland of Morocco. The journey includes as you arrive in fes where you will be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport.
